Kaishin Chu – Principal
My passion is to help create better meaningful experiences for people, products, and services.
Professionally, I employ design thinking and human-centered design methodologies to understand the human experience and motivation from the organization, it’s staff, the service, the products, and down to the customers. When working towards determining solutions, I apply design thinking to help gain deeper qualitative insights in order to create the best possible solutions that will work to provide sustainable, usable, efficient, and desirable outcomes for all, including providing cross channels alignments for businesses, their staff, vendors and customers.
With 20+ years of experience in design management, design and development of performance outerwear and activewear, I help smaller growing businesses solve wicked problems through innovating new possibilities to address the needs and goals of the business and the end customers.
Engage. Inspire. Empower.
In my non-work hours, I dedicate time to help build Vancouver’s professional design community with focus in the design thinking/service design front, we work to Engage, Inspire, and Empower community members in all design communities to come forward and feel empowered to make a difference and help contribute towards a more collaborative and co-creative design community. Vancouver has much to offer, we can make it even better.
My personal passions also include traveling and photography, as well as my involvement with the local food & drink – dashoffood, arts, and outdoor scenes. You can find me personally at onelushlife.com and Instagram: onelushlife.
